MÜGUU – 99GINGER’S 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

2021 sees 99GINGER celebrating its 3rd anniversary. To mark the occasion, the label and collective presents its second compilation: MÜGUU.

After the release of loveiswherethegingeris, an eclectic compilation blending baile funk, hip-hop, r&b, electro music and Anglo-Saxon sounds, 99GINGER uses MÜGUU as a vessel to continue to stride towards their goal: to connect the different underground scenes through the arts. 

The Paris-based creative label aims to share its comprehensive taste with the world through the medium of cultural content and events.

For the abovementioned anniversary, 9 transatlantic producers, singers and rappers (from France, Portugal, Ghana, the UK, South Africa and the Congo) have come together to create MÜGUU: a delicate blend of warmth, tinted with melancholy, shaded by rhythmic elements. The project features DJ Kwamzy, KVNL & MOJVKI, Lorkestra, The Venice, Mikano and Ian Andria, DJ Danifox, Vanyfox, C-Afrobrasil, No Kliché and Marv.

Sitting somewhere between amapiano, hip-hop and batida, the MÜGUU compilation invites us to celebrate difference through highlighting eclecticism and building bridges between different cultures. 

MÜGUU drops on all platforms on April 16th.
